On this day in 1926, the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) was formed by the General Electric Company, Westinghouse Electric Company, and Radio Corporation of America. NBC began in radio broadcast and then moved to television broadcast as well beginning in 1931.
NBC is the oldest major broadcast network in America, and its headquarters are, of course, located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
I don’t know about you, but all this talk about NBC has me excited for fall shows.
